GTA 6 preload starts November 12 at local midnight on PS5 and Xbox

Take-Two's pre-order announcement says players who pre-order a digital copy of Grand Theft Auto VI can begin pre-loading on November 12, 2026. Rockstar Support lists the start as local midnight, so it opens at 00:00 in your own time zone rather than at one worldwide moment.
The boxed edition contains a download code instead of a disc. Take-Two says physical copies will be available from November 12 so that buyers can redeem the code and pre-load as well.
Pre-loading only downloads the game; it still unlocks on November 19. Rockstar has not announced an exact unlock time or the file size, so clear space ahead of time and check the official pages again on the day.
